Golfers recently took to the links in a fundraiser to help provide a safe haven for young mothers.

The second annual House of Courage Golf Outing was held April 28 at the Royal Oaks Country Club. Golfers participated in a scramble format with a shotgun start.

Prizes were awarded to the first, second and third place teams. There was a dinner and awards ceremony following the outing.

House of Courage operates a residential home for single teenage mothers and their children and provides programs with the goal of achieving a permanent change in a loving and caring home. They offer parenting classes, financial management classes and General Equivalency diplomas, personal growth, spiritual guidance and vocational and job interview skills.
