The group didnt have to travel to Memphis to do their fund raising, however. Carpenters Middle School cafeteria was the site of the 1950s Sock Hop. The event featured 50s style dancing, poodle skits and bobby socks, leather jackets and 1950s era music, along with hot dogs and other goodies reminiscent of the time.
In addition, there was time for a little square dancing, line dancing, motorcycle comparisons and a silent auction, with all the monies raised going to benefit the children at the hospital.
The chapter has a fund raiser for the hospital every year, said
