They graduated, and they celebrated, but the Leadership Blount Class of 2007 were clear about one thing at the graduation party in their honor at Two Rivers Pavilion: There’s still much work to do.

With their Legacy Project scheduled for June 15-16 in the form of the Big BBQ Bash, the Class of 2007 took time out from their planning and work to graduate on May 17 and to celebrate the things they have learned and accomplished in their year. Class member Charles West kept the program light and humorous while he and other class members gave highlights of their year.

Topping off the evening was a video and original song that showed key points -- both educational and fun -- in the Class of 2007 journey. After the video, Jeff Eberting, composer of the song, performed it live for the audience of friends, family and former Leadership Blount alumni.

Dinner was provided by Aubrey’s.

The Big BBQ Bash will be Friday, June 15, and Saturday, June 16, at Springbrook Corporate Center. Leadership Blount Class of 2007 have chosen New Hope Children’s Advocacy Center to receive the proceeds from their part of the event,
although the event is organized to benefit other charities as well.
