Barbecue, live music and lots of fellowship filled the evening on Saturday, June 30, at the McCord Farm. Enjoying the hospitality of Keith and Peggy McCord were 115 guests, who enjoyed the good food and good fellowship.
As the crowd of revelers danced to the sounds of The Entice Band from Shelbyville, Tn., Jerome invited his wife and the Maryville High School class of 1965 to help him slice his birthday cakes. The cakes were a little "fishy," molded to bring back memories of all the fish he has landed enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, fishing off the coast of Treasure Cay in the Bahamas. Moon is the retired publisher of The Daily Times newspaper.
Jerome and Debbie Moon still reside in Blount County and have two daughters. Amy is married to Seth Dunaway and lives in Knoxville with their two children, Gant and Libby. Jerome and Debbies younger daughter, Sarah, is married to Phillip Spinosa, and they make their home in Memphis.
Guests were brought to and from the party in limousines provided by the party planners.
"This has been great," Moon told guests at the end of the evening.
"I just want to thank everyone who came to celebrate with me."
