In October of 2006, Patti received the State Department of Educations Best Practices in Character Education in the State of Tennessee and the City of Maryville Community Enrichment Award. Pattis hobbies include scuba diving and mission trips.
Susan Cole

Susan is a native of Mobile, Ala. and currently resides in Maryville. She is a board member of New Hope Childrens Advocacy Center. Susan is also involved with the Blount County Newcomers Club where she has served as president and the first vice president. In her spare time, Susan enjoys antiquing, canning and taking new Blount County residents on road trips to explore this region.

Lance is a member of the Soddy Daisy First Presbyterian Church where he has served as elder. He was membership chair of the Chattanooga Press Association and in 2005, received a first place award of excellence from the East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists. Lances other interests include writing fiction, exercise, hiking and listening to music.

Dodd lives in Maryville with his wife, Renda, and their two children. At Liberty Church, Dodd has served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and youth leader. He also served as an executive board member of BCEA and, in 2005, was recognized for the Top Blount County Team for Relay for Life. Dodd enjoys running, exercising and spending time with his family.

Betsy and her husband Charles live in Maryville and have four children. Currently, she is involved with United Way of Blount County and is a Dale Carnegie Instructor. Betsy is also a member of the choir at Fairview United Methodist Church. In 2004, Betsy coordinated the Blount County Government United Way campaign and received the Public Service Award. Betsys interests include sports with her children and providing training to special groups on self-esteem for women and assertive communication.

Senator Finney is from Maryville. He and his wife Linda, have four grown children. Senator Finneys activities include Sunday school teacher and deacon at Restoration International Outreach. He is a former board member of Blount Health Educators and a former department chair of Blount Memorial Hospital Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Senator Finney has been named Legislative Friend of the Environment by Tennessee Conservation Voters. In his spare time, Senator Finney enjoys spending time with his wife of 45 years.

Amanda is originally from Clinton, Tenn. and now lives in Maryville with her husband Bo. She is a personal trainer at the Rush Fitness Center and special projects coordinator for Eagle Rock Retreat. Amanda is a worship leader at Calvary Chapel of Knoxville, serves as a Maryville College alumni ambassador and participated in Fairview United Methodist Churchs Concert for the Cure. In 2003, Amanda was recognized as Maryville Colleges Most Outstanding Senior and was a member of Whos Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Amanda enjoys art, music, dance and cooking.

In his spare time, Brett enjoys riding motorcycles, outdoor activities and watching UT sporting events.

As an employee of Proffitts, Phyllis received the Executive Partnership Award and the Dedicated Service Award. Her hobbies include gardening, hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family.
