The new Alcoa Branch of the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union hosted an Open House for members on Friday, Dec. 14.
At 10 a.m., Heather McLain, manager of the new branch, cut the ribbon. Members were invited in for refreshments, giveaways and to register for door prizes. The branch is located at 1113 Hunters Crossing Drive, at the Old Sonny’s BBQ restaurant, near Wal-Mart and right across from Lowe’s.
After a complete remodel, the branch was designed to be very member-friendly. According to McLain, “Members really like this branch. There are more drive-thru lanes, and we even open the drive-thru service an hour early on Friday so people have more time to stop on their way to work.”
Drive-thru service opens at 7:30 a.m. on Fridays. In addition, the drive-thru service is open on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
“Members are really excited about the community conference room, too. They can use it free during business hours for just about any group or meeting,” said McLain. “Several civic organizations have already decided to use it on a regular basis.”
One thing that didn’t change when the Credit Union moved to the new location is the staff. “We have the same friendly staff, and they put the highest priority on top quality member service,” says McLain. Since the Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is open to the community, anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Blount County is eligible to join.
