If there is something different under your Christmas tree on Tuesday, your friend or spouse may well have shopped at Footloose in the Foothills.
The late November event was a shopper’s delight with booths filling the downstairs of Preservation Plaza. The event was a fund raiser for Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service of Blount County and was sponsored by Marriott, Covenant Health and Blount Today.
There were so many different and unusual booths that it was hard to categorize the types of gifts and wares available. Fashions were paraded throughout the evening featuring clothes from Maryville’s new men’s and women’s clothing shop, Boyd Thomas Clothing, and from Gumdrops Couture, which featured stylish and cute clothing for children.
The booths offered everything from candles to crafts, from food to fashions and from bracelets to baskets. Lori Tucker of WATE-TV, Channel 6, was the emcee for the fashion show, which featured community folks as models.
Christmas trees, wreaths and other decorations served dual purpose as they gave the rooms a festive look and were offered for sale, with proceeds benefiting Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service. Door prizes through out the night kept the audience entertained as they shopped.
