Lanier students bring holiday decorations, music to American Patriot Bank

Employees and customers at American Patriot Bank who find themselves in the Christmas spirit may want to thank the students at Lanier Elementary School.

Students from all grades at the Blount County School recently made decorations for the bank’s Christmas tree. On Dec. 4, about 10 students showed up to decorate the tree for the holidays. Then, on Dec. 14, 75 students from the school’s three fourth-grade classes came by to perform Christmas songs.

Branch coordinator Pam Bradley said the events went well. “They did a great job. We were tickled to death to have them here,” she said.

The singing “was awesome,” said Bradley. “They sang a collection of songs. We had customers in the bank who got to enjoy it, too.”

Glenda Eastridge, a fourth-grade teacher at Lanier Elementary, said the students enjoyed being able to participate with the bank as part of their Adopt-a-School program with American Patriot Bank.

“They were real excited about being able to do that,” Eastridge said.

Bradley said the bank plans to help the school with donations of supplies to the school. “It’s a lot of fun being involved with the children,” she said.
