Broccoli with Garlic Butter and Cashews
1 lb. fresh broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
1/3 cup butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tsp. white vinegar
¼ tsp. salt and pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup chopped, salted cashews
Steam broccoli until tender but still crisp. Place on serving platter.
Melt butter, mix in brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, salt and pepper and garlic.
Bring to a boil, then remove from heat. Mix in the cashews. Pour over broccoli, and serve immediately.
