Breakfast Quiche

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 onion, chopped

1 lb. sausage, spicy or mild

4 eggs

1/2 cup ranch dressing or sour cream

1/2 cup milk

1 pkg. (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 unbaked 9-inch deep dish or extra-large pie crust

Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat, saute onion until soft. Add sausage, and cook until brown. Drain and crumble and set aside. In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, ranch dressing and milk. Stir in cheese. Spread sausage mixture into bottom of pie crust. Cover with the egg mixture and shake lightly to remove air. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 40 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool about 10 minutes before serving.
