The Alcoa Youth Football organization held its annual spring practice
recently, with members of the Alcoa High School football team on hand
to lend some expertise. Team members came out to meet with the
youngsters even during their Spring Break from school, says Crystal
Dunlap, who is director of the Alcoa Youth Football league.
The youth program is comprised of Grasshopper, Pee Wee and Midget
teams. Alcoa High assistant coach William Henry enlisted the aid of
several Tornadoes, including senior Rae Sykes and junior Randall Cobb,
to help with instruction.
The Grasshopper league includes players age 7-8, Pee Wees 9-10 and
Midgets 11-12.
