Stumping for Mayor

The race for mayor and board of aldermen in Louisville is a contested race this year for the first time in more than a decade. For mayor, incumbent Geraldine Anderson is being challenged by Lynn Roberts. Roberts hosted a barbecue recently and invited the press to come hear his stand on the issues. Blount Today featured a cover story in the Oct. 19 issue profiling all the candidates for mayor and alderman. To read it, go to and click on "Louisville in Waiting."

In the story, candidate for alderman Mark Thurston was incorrectly identified as being married. Thurston is single.

Photographs from the Roberts barbecue were taken by Sherri Gardner Howell.
