Walkers from the area gathered at the center for a 1- to 3-mile
morning walk designed to promote good health and raise
funds for ASBS. More than $5,000 was raised by 25-plus walkers.
The purpose of the society is to advance the art and science of bariatric surgery by continued encouragement of its members to investigate clinics and labs that offer bariatric surgery, exchange ideas and information pertaining to the surgery, promote guidelines for ethical patient care and selection, develop educational programs for physicians, paramedics and lay people and promote outcome studies and quality assurance
