Cummings to M.P.L. Network, Inc.
Maryville resident Timothy Cummings has joined the sales team at Molecular Pathology Laboratory Network, Inc. (MPLN)
and its subsidiary Ascendant Medical Laboratory, as a new sales specialist.

"Tim has nearly 20 years experience in the diagnostic industry with an outstanding track record in sales performance and sales training," said Dr. Roger Hubbard, founder, president and chief executive officer of MPLN. "He will certainly be a great asset to our sales force and our Tennessee Valley clients."

As a sales specialist for, Cummings will focus his sales efforts in Ascendant and MPLN’s East Tennessee service area. Prior to joining MPLN, Cummings was the field sales training manager with Beckman Coulter, Inc. and a regional sales consultant for Olympus America.

Cummings, who earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the College of Charleston in 1980, also worked for Abbott Diagnostics for 16 years in Illinois and Florida until 1998 and owned Issachar Investments in Maryville from 1999-2002.

EXIT Integrity Real Estate Group opens 10th office
EXIT Realty, a 13-year-old Canadian based real estate company, opened its 10th office in Tennessee. The Sevierville office is owned by Chad and Chase Tipton. They, along with their EXIT team of agents celebrated this new office in an open house from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, at the office, located at 2004 Red Bank Road, Sevierville. There was music, door prizes, food and drinks for everyone. Representatives from banking institutions, mortgage companies, home inspection professionals, building contractors, home furnishings and more also attended.

Owners Chad and Chase Tipton live in Blount County. Each of the brothers has earned a Bachelors Degree from Maryville College. Chad is entering his third year as an associate broker, after five years as an elementary teacher. This will be Chase’s first year after recently graduating from college. Both are very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for their company. They give all the credit for their blessings to God and their family and close friends. Chad is joined in this venture by Heather, wife of seven years, while Chase is supported by fiancée, Heather Armstrong.
