Chamber seminars focus on business issues during Business Development Week

From press releases

Business Development Week 2006, Oct. 17-20, includes activities designed to help businesses harvest the most from their available resources, said Joe Zappa, Blount County Chamber of Commerce Chair. The program, which is open to the public, includes an employee/employer relationship seminar, a job fair at Foothills Mall, a candidate forum, supervisor training, a
business and personal growth seminar, and a business start-up seminar.

"We asked our members what they wanted most from the Chamber, and training was one of the most frequent answers," Zappa continued. "Finding qualified workers was also a major issue. So, we’ve taken these issues and developed a week-long series of activities to meet our members’ needs. Business Development Week is surely one of the most convenient and cost-effective resources that will help local businesses grow and succeed."
