Lambert's well-loved pup takes honors for being ugly

Brandy, the little dog found in the middle of the road by Skip and Charlotte Lambert, has been well loved by her owners.

They’ve never had any illusions, however, about her "beauty."

Skip Lambert, owner and operator of Lambert’s Tobacco Road in Maryville, entered Brandy in The Point 93.1 FM Ugliest Dog Contest on Saturday, Sept. 30. Out of 39 contestants, Brandy took first prize as the ugliest dog, winning a trophy with a dog bone bigger than she is and more than $600 in prizes for being the victor.
