The swings were different from normal, but there were still winners on a field of green. The Heritage High School Baseball team recently held their 2006 Golf Tournament at Lambert Acres Golf Course. Final tallies showed a good time for participants and $2,000 for the baseball program.

"I can’t express my gratitude enough to our sponsors and our participants in this year’s tourney," said Heritage baseball coach Robbie Bennett. "This helps out our program tremendously and enables us to do some extra things for the kids."

Prizes were given away for the best team, longest drive and closest to the pin.

Taking team honors were Chad Berrong, Tom Hatcher, Josh Stephens and Dave Clark. Closest to the pin went to Todd Roberts and Gene Able. Longest drive also was taken by Todd Roberts.

"I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good day on the links," Bennett said. "Each year seems to get better and better. We had over 60 golfers this year, and we are already looking forward to 2007."
