Parading in Friendsville

The town of Friendsville got in the Christmas spirit with a parade and a tree lighting ceremony recently at the Friendsville Community Center.

On Friday evening, there was a ceremony to light the tree in Homecoming Circle, and Santa greeting the children at the community center.

The next day, the parade kicked at 2 p.m. at the Friendsville Elementary School. Santa was back on hand to check on who has been naughty and who has been nice. Children enjoyed some sweets as parade participants threw candy to the young ones.
