The Alcoa Tornadoes were crowned Class 2A champions in Murfreesboro last Friday, and the Maryville Rebels took position of the trophy for Class 4A on Saturday, both for a three-peat. Blount Today published a 40 page Celebrate Champions edition on Tuesday with complete coverage of the games and a recap of the season that led the teams to Murfreesboro.

Celebrations for the teams include a reception at 10 a.m. Saturday
at Green Meadow Country Club, hosted by The Sports Page radio program.
The Victory Rally, without the parade this year, will be at 12:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 9, at the
Greenbelt Pavilion. The public is invited and both teams will be
honored by the cities and county.
