She attended Pellissippi State and graduated with a degree in Communications Graphics Technology. She started working for the E.W. Scripps company and was transferred to Blount Today when it started in August of 2004. Her local knowledge of the county and advertising design experience made her a perfect candidate to start a community paper from the ground up. She has been with Scripps since 2003 and has excelled at marketing and promotion in advertising.
