</title><link>http://www.blounttoday.com/news/2011/oct/12/wins-losses-tears/?partner=RSS</link><description>Ryan Click hitting that shot had to be the wildest thing to happen in seven years of Blount Today sports.
We got to see Cait McMahan and Lee Humphrey cut down the nets on national television. Maryville got so good at football that the Rebels didn’t lose a game in Blount Today’s first four years. They won 74 straight to set a new state record before we saw them lose for the first time. Still can’t wrap my mind around that.
Since Blount Today opened its doors on Aug. 26, 2004, my beloved Tornadoes have crowned every season with a state championship.

In the public’s eyes, she never suffers, probably doesn’t even know what the word means. She grew up as a princess and moves on to be Queen. Her life is filled with luxury and privilege.

That’s the opinion of patriarch Steve West on what has been the secret to success for the Blount County Chevrolet dealership. West was on hand at the 80th anniversary celebration at the Airport Motor Mile dealership.
“It was mainly retirees and employees who camp by,” said West. “And there were certainly some customers and vendors who came by. It was more of an internal celebration, although it was a good sale weekend,” he said.

In fact, the major indexes are currently in a trading range. For the S&amp;amp;P 500, the range is approximately 1,100 to 1,225 and for the Dow Jones Industrial 30 it is 10,800 to 11,600. Ranges typically occur when there is insufficient data to cause a breakout; for the index to continue through either the top or the bottom of the range.

A Path Home is a new campaign that will debut during the Harmony Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the former Montvale camp.
Joy Bishop of Maryville is supporting the campaign. “A Path Home is an opportunity to step up and support Harmony while remembering people we care about,” said Bishop. “So many people have been campers here at Montvale, and they came with their families over the years,” she said. “We thought, what a wonderful opportunity! People could give them as gifts in honor or in memory of others.”

As brilliant reds, oranges and yellows begin to emerge, even the youngest artists are sure to be inspired by fall’s new color palette.

</title><link>http://www.blounttoday.com/news/2011/oct/05/planners-anticipate-great-2011-fall-festival/?partner=RSS</link><description>Foothills Fall Festival planners had a hunch tickets would sell out fast this year, even before they told the public who the headliner was for Saturday night.
“I think this year we knew tickets would go fast before we made the announcement that Reba (McEntire) was coming,” said Jane Groff, event coordinator for the City of Maryville. “We had a feeling she would be a huge kickoff for us. For us to have sold out tickets in two and half weeks was pretty impressive and solidified what folks around here want to see,” she said.
Reserved seats for McEntire sold out in minutes. The only tickets left at press time this week were a few reserved seats for Friday night. Go to www.KnoxvilleTickets.com.
